Historic building and former bank in Wingham
The bank was opened on 7th September 1880. It is the earliest bank remaining in Greater Taree. A good example of a simple Victorian Bank with later neo-classical addition.The architects were prominent Mansfield Brothers – owned by George Allen Mansfield.
The former bank section of the building has been converted into commercial rental space, while the residential portion has retained its original function.
